​Namhoon Kim

Namhoon Kim is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Jeonbuk National University. He possesses specialized expertise in geometric modeling for a variety of camera sensors, handling devices ranging from those situated on the surface to those operating in space. His research interests focus on generating high-quality digital twins of objects, and he conducts diverse studies in photogrammetry, pointcloudmetry, and computer vision.

He received his B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Yonsei University in 2012 and his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Graduate School of Yonsei University in 2021. He subsequently served as a postdoctoral researcher at Yonsei University and as a research professor at the Disaster Prevention Research Institute of Gangneung-Wonju National University. In August 2021, he joined the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Korea Military Academy, where he served as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor. Since March 2026, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Jeonbuk National University.
