based on geodesy and imaging geometry principles.
Research Areas
Photogrammetry & 3D reconstruction
We develop accurate 3D spatial information from aerial, UAV, and terrestrial imagery. Our research focuses on image geometry, camera calibration, Structure-from-Motion (SfM), and Multi-View Stereo (MVS) for precise 3D reconstruction.
Remote sensing and satellite geometry
We investigate geometric modeling and accuracy improvement of high-resolution satellite imagery. Our research includes RPC modeling, sensor geometry, orthorectification, and GeoAI-based analysis such as object detection, change detection, and land-cover classification from large-scale geospatial datasets.
Point cloud processing
We process and analyze 3D point clouds acquired from airborne, mobile, and terrestrial LiDAR systems. Our research covers point cloud registration, coordinate integration, feature extraction, and object classification. We also develop deep learning-based approaches for point cloud segmentation, object recognition, and 3D scene understanding to enable automated geospatial information generation.
